A Fearful but not a Final Judgment The Locusts from the Bottomless Pit

This article on Revelation 9:1-11 focuses on the fifth trumpet and the judgment of the locusts. In Revelation 9:1 we read, “And the fifth angel sounded, and I saw a star fall from heaven unto the earth: and to him was given the key of the bottomless pit.” Who or what is this star? Stars in the Bible often refer to angels both good and evil. In Job 38:7 we are told that when the Lord God of heaven finished His creation, “the morning stars sang together, and all the sons of God shouted for joy.”
