The Christ
The author discusses the office of Christ, focusing upon his title as the Messiah. The author explores whether there was any difference between the use of the title in the Old and the New Testaments. The title is found in the Old Testament to be concentrated in the priesthood and kingly offices. The author finds a strong link between the process of anointing with oil as used in the Old Testament and the giving or anointing with the Holy Spirit as mostly used in the New Testament.
