This article looks to church history and argues that the church has always favoured exclusive Psalm singing for worship.

This article shows that the call to exclusive psalmody in public worship is not meant to deny Christian hymns, but is about the use of Scripture in public worship, and that Psalms are given by God for public worship. A historical overview of this conviction is also shared.
